Quilt Coat - Feed Sack Irish Chain

This quilt coat was made using an antique quilt sourced from Minnesota, from 1928. It features feed sack and cotton fabrics in an irish chain pattern. It is in good condition for its age, with some signs of wear, and worn patches and opened seams mended. The quilt is all hand and quilted, with great attention to detail.

The pattern created for this coat has been designed to fit a variety of bodies, intentionally open-faced with no buttons or zippers, long and loose around the mid section to be accommodating.

This quilt is light to medium weight, perfect for a transition in most seasons & months.

first, remember this is a piece of history - likely around 100 years old. you will see signs of wear, and likely see small tears and stains, which is totally normal! take proper care and be gentle - mending as needed.
