This Quilt Duster was made using a handcrafted quilt sourced from Minnesota, made around 1960-70s. While popular in the late 1800s, this quilt is in pristine condition, leading us to believe it was made during the Crazy Quilt revival period in the late 1900s. It includes minimal wear and tear, or signs of heavy use. We have mended many worn or loose parts of this quilt. The inside has a floral flannel lining, soft and comfortable to wear.
The pattern created for this coat has been designed to fit a variety of bodies, intentionally boxy with a drop shoulder.
This quilt is medium tp heavy weight, perfect for the transitional months or layering in the cooler seasons! Always remember that this coat is made from an antique quilt that has seen decades of love.

first, remember this is a piece of history - likely around 100 years old. you will see signs of wear, and likely see small tears and stains, which is totally normal! take proper care and be gentle - mending as needed.
washing - deep clean about once a year by soaking in cool water with a gentle or plant based soap - preferably unscented. gently agitate and let it sit for a while - then lay flat in the sun to dry and disinfect! feel free to email us with any maintenance questions hello@reclaimcreative.space
