This quilt coat was made using a vintage quilt sourced from Minnesota, made in the late 1900s, particularly used for a local theatrical performance. It features a beautiful blue, pink, and white design displayed in a Rocky Road pattern inspired by the musical "Quilters" (1984). It showcases subtle floral hints throughout the pattern with a bold blue floral on the inside. The quilt is in great condition for its age, with minimal signs of wear and discoloration. The quilt is all hand pieced and quilted, with great attention to detail. Stains and imperfections are shown in product images.
The pattern created for this coat has been designed to fit a variety of bodies, intentionally open-faced with no buttons or zippers, long and loose around the mid section to be accommodating.
This quilt is medium to heavy weight, perfect for a transition in several seasons & months.
This quilt has held up well over time. Always remember that this coat is made from an antique quilt that has seen decades of love.

first, remember this is a piece of history - likely around 100 years old. you will see signs of wear, and likely see small tears and stains, which is totally normal! take proper care and be gentle - mending as needed.
washing - deep clean about once a year by soaking in cool water with a gentle or plant based soap - preferably unscented. gently agitate and let it sit for a while - then lay flat in the sun to dry and disinfect! feel free to email us with any maintenance questions hello@reclaimcreative.space
